DPR approved by KIIFB on 09.11.2018 for an amount of Rs.55.27 Cr. LA requisition submitted on 15.01.2019. MLA has informed that there is wide protest from local people on the project and requested for a substitution project. Report submitted to Govt. on 02.09.2019 for dropping the project as suggested by the MLA. As requested by the landowners, the new Uduma MLA conducted a meeting on 04.07.2021 to restart the work. MLA requested MD RBDCK to examine the possibility of restarting the work. Accordingly, a site visit was conducted on 20.09.2021. MLA directed to submit the re-alignment sketch. Survey works for the same were completed. On 16.12.2021, action committee submitted the realignment drawing and the same with a detailed report was submitted to KIIFB on 31.12.2021. Accordingly, KIIFB conducted site inspection on 20.01.2022. KIIFB directed to revise the DPR and revision of DPR is under process.
Meanwhile, KIIFB advised to change the project name and obtain revised AS. Accordingly, on 21.05.2022 RBDCK requested Secretary PWD for changing the name to ""Thekkil-Perumbala Road"" and revise the AS.
Meanwhile Hon. MLA directed to mark the revised alignment on ground and the same was completed. The residents again objected to the alignment and accordingly Hon. MLA visited the site on 06.01.2023 and directed the project to be put on hold till necessary decision is taken.
On 14.06.2023 KIIFB conducted Uduma LAC meeting and ED-KIIFB suggested RBDCK to coordinate with Hon.MLA so as to finalize the alignment and to initiate LA procedures. Accordingly, MLA informed to hold on the works until to solve the protest against the Land acquisition. |
