Current status Entire land taken possession completed on 14.09.2022. Final GAD submitted to Railways on 22.02.2022. Reminder letter submitted to Chief Administrative Officer, Southern Railway, Ernakulam and Chief Engineer (RSW), Southern Railway, Chennai for approval of submitted GADs on 30.06.2022. Vide letter dated 11.07.2022, Railway informed that GAD of ROB’s between Ernakulam and Shornur will be approved only after finalisation of 3rd line. During the meeting held on 26/10/2023 in the presence of Hon'ble Revenue Minister, Railways informed that they will inform the modifications to be done in the GAD. Vide letter dated 07.11.2023 and 16.11.2023, Railways had suggested some modifications to be incorporated in the GAD. The same has been incorporated and submitted to Railways on 20.11.2023. As directed by Railways, final GAD submitted on 05.01.2024. Awaiting approval of GAD from Railways.
